As the year comes to a close, I always like to reflect on the year in music. This is a best of the best list, this is the 'cream that rose to the top'. Will names like Strait or Chesney make it on this list? I'm not wasting anymore time, let's count down the top 10 songs of 2012. Lady Antebellum deserves to be counted among the 'Best of the Best.' The trios popularity pushes the group to the #4 spot in our Top 10 of 2012.

At #4 'We Owned The Night' was released as the second single from Lady A's third studio album 'Own the Night.' The song was co-written by two of the trio's three members Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood along singer/songwriter Dallas Davidson. The song is about a man that remembers memorable romantic interlude with a woman who he has not seen for a long time.

Lady Antebellum's amazing achievements puts them in a category familiar to names like Alabama, George Strait, Rascal Flatts and Kenny Chesney. Lady Antebellum's signature vocal harmonies and their personal songwriting offerings are the main reasons the trio has a very loyal fan base.

"That's the core of our group, how we started," says Dave Haywood, harmony singer and multi-instrumentalist. "What spawned our friendship was that special writing chemistry. That's when we are the happiest, just sitting in a room together making music."
