The 2017 CMA Awards are underway, and they started off with a heartfelt performance by some of country's biggest superstars.

Eric Church kicked things off on a moving note, singing the hymn "Amazing Grace" a cappella. Then, Darius Rucker and Keith Urban brought the energy up with Hootie & the Blowfish's 1994 hit "Hold My Hand," and it turned into a star-filled medley. Lady Antebellum joined in the fun with their smooth harmonies.

Lyrics such as "With a little peace and some harmony / We'll take the world together / We'll take them by the hand" and "I wanna love you / The best that / The best that I can" added to the enigmatic and harmonious feel.

And, the opening number wasn't finished yet: Ronnie Dunn, Reba McEntire, Little Big Town, Kelsea Ballerini, Tim McGraw and Thomas Rhett, Luke Bryan, Faith Hill, Garth Brooks and Kix Brooks were also part of the performance. What a great start to Country Music's Biggest Night!
