As the star-laced lineup for the 2012 CMA Music Fest is unrolled, it would seem the Country Music Association is saving the most legendary for last. The Association just announced the newest talent slated to set their boots on the stage of Nashville’s LP Field in early June, and they’re undoubtedly adding some of the biggest heavy hitters yet. Among them are legends like Glen CampbellKenny Rogers, Ronnie Milsap and the Mavericks, who will be reuniting for the show after almost 10 years apart.

These names are being added to a bill that already includes some of the biggest stars on today’s country music scene. Martina McBride, Jake Owen, Hunter HayesBlake SheltonAlan JacksonRascal FlattsLady AntebellumBrad PaisleyCarrie Underwood and tons more are planning to join the more than 60,000 fans who will be staking their claim in Nashville that week.

The shows, which are scheduled to take place from June 7-10 during a four-day event, help raise money for the CMA Foundation. The group has made charitable contributions of more than $6 million to the Keep the Music Playing program since 2006.

When you buy a ticket for the event — available online now for anywhere from $115 to $325 plus handling — 50 percent of the proceeds of your ticket sale will go toward the charitable program, which goes to benefit the music programs for the 78,000 students who attend Nashville’s public schools. With all the great music expected to be on hand at the 2012 CMA Music Festival, it’s a win-win situation for everyone.
